It’s my party!


A detailed description of the activity will be provided here right after our training session. This will help you reflect on it and comment below by providing feedback to the trainer.

Step 1 (5 min)
Participants are asked to work alone, take one sheet of paper and a pen and write down the qualities of a person who they would like to have as a helping hand and guest to a big party they are organizing. They are advised to be brief and try to use adjectives.
Step 2 (10 min)
Participants are told to sit in groups of 4-5, exchange ideas and conclude on the final profile of their guest.
Step 3 (10 min) – Debriefing
All groups sit in the big circle. Groups present their findings. The whole group concludes on the ideal guest.
Participants are asked to reflect on the activity and discuss based on some of the following questions.
Did this activity help you realize that people with different personality characteristics are necessary for a successful outcome?
Did this activity help you understand that each person holds qualities which are unique?
Did the activity made you understand that life can be better organized and enjoyed if depending on diversity?

For the reflection and feedback bear in mind the following criteria:

• Did you like the activity?

• Do you think the activity was designed on the basis of “the head, the heart and the hands” principle?

• Do you think the activity favoured interaction?

• Do you think the activity offered you with reflection opportunities on the qualities of THE OTHER?

• Do you think it can be easily applied?

• Do you think it would appeal to pupils of Primary?

• Do you think the activity can be integrated easily in the English class?
